Tomohisa Tobitsuka氏初の写真集の刊行となります。
現在フリーカメラマンとして活躍するTOBIさんですが、もともと映像の世界に興味があり、高校を卒業して映像の専門学校に入りました。卒業後海外を放浪するうちに写真の世界に魅了されたという。26歳の時にスタジオ勤務をし、その後フリーになりました。TOBIさんはカメラマン以外のバイトはしなかった。なぜなら、貧乏だったが写真作家として活動したいと夢見ていた。35歳の時に写真作家として海外へチャレンジすることを決めスタートしました。フランスのアルルで開催しているアルル国際フォトフェスティバルへ参加したことで、そこでいままで自分がやってきたことが間違いじゃなかったと確認できたという。今回の写真集はフォトグラファーとしてスタートした当時から取り組んでいたプロジェクトです。桜とヌードを組み合わせた作品となっています。

This is the first photo-book of Tomohisa Tobitsuka (TOBI).
Now TOBI is active as a freelance photographer, initially he was interested in the world of film. After graduating high school, he entered in a school specialized in film.
After graduation, he started traveling around the world. While continuing a wandering journey, he was gradually attracted to the world of photography.He was hired a photo-studio as an assistant at the age of 26. After leaving the studio, he turned a freelance photographer.
TOBI focused to his job as a photographer and never did other jobs.That is because, poor as he was, he dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer.At the age of 35, he made up his mind to begin his career as an artistic photographer beyond Japan.Participating in Les rencontres d'Arles held in Arles (France) has convinced him that what he did over years was right.

This book is based on a project in which he has been engaged since the beginning of his career as a photographer.
In this book, we see the images that he created by overlapping two different forms: sakura (cherry blossom) and nudes.

1993年よりカメラを片手に単身海外へ。オーストラリア大陸、北米大陸をバイクで横断。
都内のスタジオ勤務　広告、ファッションなどフリーアシスタント経験を積みフリーへ。
